Certification notes
- Dell iDRAC and MAAS
This system may not work out of the box in a MAAS environment because IPMI over LAN is disabled by default on Dell iDRAC controllers. Therefore, before you can fully use this system in a MAAS environment, you will need to ensure IPMI over LAN is enabled in the iDRAC settings on your hardware.
We are working with Dell to resolve this and expect it will be fixed in a future release or update to MAAS
- Purley Platform Support - 16.04 LTS
Purley CPUs and Platforms are not fully supported the 4.4 kernel stream for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. If you are running workloads that require all the features of the Purley CPU instruction set, you will need to update to kernel version 4.10 or later, which is provided by the 'linux-generic-hwe-16.04' package or the 'xenial (hwe-16.04)' kernel option in MAAS.
- BIOS
- Dell: 1.0.0 (UEFI)
